During the time of the Greeks and Romans, the city of Paphos was the capital of Cyprus and is renowned for its royal heritage. There is a lot to see including the impressive temple of Adonis and the fabulous Roman Governor's palace, which contains an array of amazing mosaics. The city itself has grown from a once sleepy fishing village into a very modern place, which has retained its charm and generous welcome.
